This is going to be good!

On Valentine’s Day of this year, Tareasa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson began posting a 50-part series entitled “Who TF Did I Marry?” The posts chronicled Johnson’s rollercoaster matrimony to her ex-husband, dubbed “Legion,” whom she described as a pathological liar. As Johnson poured her heart out, documenting every single lie from her ex —including a college athletic career that never happened and a step-daughter’s funeral Johnson paid for, who is still alive—viewers were locked in.

The series went viral, garnering more than 450 million impressions across social media, with Johnson gaining more than 3 million followers within just two weeks. By March, the newfound content creator had signed a representation deal with Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Now, actress and producer Natasha Rothwell, a fellow CAA repped artist, is developing a TV adaptation of Johnson’s story, Variety reports.

Rothwell is set to executive produce and star as Johnson in the new television series. The project sparked a bidding war, Rothwell producing under her Big Hattie Productions banner for ABC Signature.  The series comes ahead of Rothwell’s new Hulu Comedy “How to Die Alone,” which is set to debut Sept. 13th. Rothwell is also reprising her Emmy-nominated role on Season 3 of “The White Lotus.” Best known for her work as “Kelli” on Issa Rae’s “Insecure,” this marks the beginning of what seems to be a long and illustrious career for the former ‘Saturday Night Live” writer.

There is no word yet on when “Who TF Did I Marry?” will air, but we cannot wait, and we know that the story is in good hands with Rothwell!
