This marks the second job that Hill has landed since her departure from ESPN last month. The first is as narrator for LeBron James’ Showtime documentary Shut Up and Dribble,” and now “The Atlantic” is also giving Hill a platform to speak truth to power.

“Jemele is a wonderfully talented journalist who is famous for her acute commentary, fearless writing and encyclopedic knowledge of sports,” said Goldberg. “But what drew us to Jemele in particular is her deep commitment to reporting.”

Hill has shared that she sees analyzing happenings within sports as the perfect segue into exploring what’s happening in society as a whole. Her contributions to “The Atlantic” are sure to be compelling, thought-provoking, and carefully written works that encourage in-depth analysis and consideration of multiple perspectives.
