Nominees for the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday morning and let’s just say this year’s list is full of Black Excellence.

With 16 nominations, Donald Glover’s “Atlanta” has become the most nominated comedy series this year. Glover, who became the first Black person to win an Emmy for Outstanding Director for a Comedy Series in 2017, received another nod for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and a few nods for directing and writing – which brings his total to five nominations.
