Do you remember when our forever First Lady Michelle Obama surprised guests from behind a curtain as they recorded thank you messages to her on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last year? Well on Wednesday, the show did the same type of surprise, but this time with the help of “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman.
The film is not only breaking records at the box office, but its beautiful and powerful representation of Black people on screen has left an immeasurable impact on the world. The entire internet is still marveling at all the Black excellence in the film and how it empowers the next generation.
Last night, guests were asked to share what the movie means to them, one woman sharing, “For me, as the mother of a young son, my son’s childhood has been defined by Barack Obama and now Black Panther. So thank you.”
Watch the full video below and see the power of representation.
We can’t say it enough, Wakanda Forever! If you could tell Chadwick Boseman what “Black Panther” means to you, what would you say?
