Ryan Coogler’s “Black Panther” is still breaking records at the box office!
In its second weekend, the superhero movie pulled in an estimated $108 million (and counting) from 4,020 U.S. theaters, securing the second-highest second weekend ever.
According to Variety, “The Disney and Marvel title hit the $400 million mark in the U.S. in just 10 days after dropping a narrow 47 percent from its opening weekend. That’s one of the lowest declines ever for a superhero title, as well as one of the lowest for a film launching north of $200 million (the bigger the opening, the bigger the drop in many instances).”

But that’s clearly not the case for this film turned cultural phenomenon. As a matter of fact, in just 10 days, “Black Panther” has earned an impressive $704 million worldwide and is set to hit the billon dollar mark. It’s now the fourth movie to cross $100 million in its second weekend, and is on the edge of becoming the No. 3 Marvel movie of all time in the U.S. as it moves toward possibly becoming the No.1 superhero movie of all time.
