It has been 5-years since we learned about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. Since then, numerous efforts led by celebrities and every day citizens have been launched to raise awareness and funds to address the issue.
On Friday, rapper and actor Jaden Smith announced that his company, JUST goods, teamed up with First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to provide clean water to Flint residents through a mobile filtration system called “The Water Box.”

The church has already donated over five million water bottles to residents, however, donations have steadily declined. The Water Box will allow residents to fill their own empty jugs with the water it has cleaned.
According to the press release, “The Water Box” filters out lead and additional contaminants in water.
People can bring their empty bottles and jugs to the church on Thursdays from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm to collect water.
Kudos to Jaden Smith and to the leaders at First Trinity Missionary for doing the work to create lifesaving solutions!
