He has a heart of gold!
A Texas teen raised money this year to make sure homeless children celebrate Christmas, WSBTV reports.
Jaxson Turner has always been a little budding philanthropist. It all began one year on his birthday when he decided he wanted to feed the homeless instead of receive birthday gifts. Since then, the 13-year-old has regularly continued his charitable efforts, creating a nonprofit to house his work, the Never 2 Young 2 Care (N2Y2C) charity.
This year, the Texas native has continued his initiatives, choosing to focus on spreading holiday cheer, raising nearly $6000 to help 61 homeless children celebrate Christmas. Jaxson purchased shoes, coats, socks and toys for the children and provided them with a hot dinner complete with entertainment by a local magician. The teen took to social media to thank everyone for their donations and helping host the children.
“It feels good to see the kids happy and the parents too. It was more special this year because people chose to help even in the midst of a pandemic. It’s an honor to serve those who are less fortunate because it could be any of us facing a sad time of homelessness in our lives. I hope that I am making God and my community proud,” Jaxson said.
He plans to continue his charitable efforts, even looking forward to hosting an Easter dinner next year. Currently, Jaxson has set up a GoFundMe to raise funding to support his mission.
