An enduring love!
Chadwick Boseman’s wife honored him in a heartfelt speech during the recent 30th annual Gotham Awards, The Grio reports.
Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman accepted an award on behalf of her late husband, Chadwick, this week during the IFP Gotham Awards. “The Tribute Award” was presented by Boseman’s “42” co-star, Andre Holland, on behalf of the late actor’s great work.
Speaking virtually as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Ledward Boseman called it an honor to accept the award on his behalf, saying it was an “acknowledgment of not only his profound work but of his impact on this industry and this world.”

“He is the most honest person I’d ever met. He actively searched for it, in himself, those around him, and the moment. The truth can be a very easy thing for the self to avoid. But if one does not live in truth, then it’s impossible to live life. So it became how he lived his life, day in and day out. Imperfect but determined. He was blessed to live many lives within his concentrated one. He developed his understanding of what it meant to be the one, the none, and the all. ‘A vessel to be poured into and out of,’ he’d said,” Ledward Boseman expressed while holding back tears.
Visibly emotional, she continued speaking of Boseman’s ability to think outside of himself, even during his last days, harnessing spiritual strength and “modeling for us a path to true fulfillment.”
“May we not let his conviction be in vain. May our spirits be fertile soil for God’s wisdom to fall upon. So thank you. Praise God. Chad, thank you. I love you. I am so proud of you. Keep shining your light on us,” Ledward Boseman added.
Boseman passed away earlier this year at the age of 43 after a private four-year battle with colon cancer.
Your work will not be in vain, Chadwick. We are sending you prayers for peace and comfort, Taylor.
