A dream come true!
A Wisconsin man reunited with his dog after seeing him on television, two years after he went missing, the Good News Network reports.
Dwight Gary’s dog went missing from his family’s yard in July 2019 after being scared by fireworks. The family searched but to no avail and eventually gave up hope.
Recently, Gary watched the WITI news team segment when they showed a photo of a dog available for adoption.
“Meet Mason,” the news reporter stated.
Gary immediately noticed his pet’s unique underbite and said out loud, “No, that’s not Mason, that’s most definitely Payday!”
He quickly contacted the channel 6 news desk and let them know that it was his lost dog up for adoption at the Wisconsin Humane Society.
The news team contacted the Humane Society, and after comparing family photos, they said they knew without a doubt that the dog belonged to Gary. The two were able to reunite in a heartwarming moment caught on camera. As soon as family members came to collect Payday, he recognized them immediately, ecstatic about finally seeing his family again. Now the family pet is home safely with Gary, his daughter, and their family.
