It’s Usher’s time!
The “Love in This Club” singer isn’t slowing down after his announcement that he’s performing at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show.
In his latest big reveal, the singer shared on Wednesday that he’s also releasing new music soon. While speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music radio live, the singer and songwriter said his new album, “Coming Home,” is “a love letter, once again, to the legacy of my career.”
“More than anything, it’s a celebration of music,” he added.
Usher hasn’t released any more details about the project, other than the cover art. The cover shows an image of the singer from behind, with him holding a peach above his bare neck. He’s wearing multiple necklaces in the photo. We also know that the album has 20 tracks and includes the track “Good Good” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage.
Usher’s exciting Super Bowl news came amid Usher sharing a series of mashup videos of a younger version of himself alongside celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Marshawn Lynch, Deion Sanders, and Odell Beckham Jr. The videos were cut together with the intro to his 2004 song “Confessions.”
“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” Usher said in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”
Usher’s album, “Coming Home,” is expected to be released in February.
