The iconic singer is teaming up with Heather Graham for Netflix’s upcoming holiday film, “Best. Christmas. Ever!”
The two stars portray old college friends who unexpectedly reunite for the holiday season. Jackie, who is played by Norwood, is seemingly living a flawless life. And Charlotte, who is played by Graham, feels a bit inadequate. She then embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind Jackie’s seemingly perfect existence.
The plot takes a twist when Charlotte and her family find themselves at Jackie’s doorstep just days before Christmas, providing the perfect opportunity to put Jackie’s perfection to the test.
“Best. Christmas. Ever!” is directed by Mary Lambert, who is known for her work on the 1989 Stephen King film “Pet Sematary.”
The movie cast includes Jason Biggs, Matt Cedeño, Wyatt Hunt, Abby Villasmil, and Madison Skye Validum.
In an interview with Today.com, Lambert praised Norwood’s contagious positivity on set.
“She just exudes joy and happiness, and when she walks in the room and when she’s ready to be part of the group, everybody is just so happy,” she said. “It’s like a shining light … She just sort of breathes you in, and then she breathes you back out. And you’re better when she breathes you back out.”
“Best. Christmas. Ever!” debuts on Netflix on November 16.
Brandy is also releasing her first holiday album, “Christmas with Brandy,” on November 10 through Motown Records.
