Beyoncé is “simply the best” person to honor Tina Turner!
The singer is reportedly going to commemorate the late Turner in a tribute performance at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Turner passed away in May 2023 after years of battling illness.
After the musical icon passed, Beyoncé wrote a touching message to the late rock n’ roll star, calling Turner “the epitome of power and passion” on her website.
“I love you endlessly. I am so grateful for your inspiration and all the ways you have paved the way. You are strength and resilience,” Beyoncé wrote at the time. “We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain.”

Beyoncé had been a longstanding fan of Turner’s. In 2005, she performed at the Grammys to celebrate Turner receiving the Kennedy Center Honor from President George W. Bush.
“I’ll never forget the first time I saw you perform,” Beyoncé said to her from the stage. “I never in my life saw a woman so powerful, so fearless, so fabulous — and those legs!” In the solo performance, Beyoncé was backed with a band and dancers in gold tassels. Tina Turner jumped to her feet and gave Queen Bey two thumbs up.
We can’t wait to watch the performance!
