Talk about an acceptance letter reveal!
During an episode of SHERRI, hosted by actress and comic, Sherri Shepherd, Jada Cross, a high school senior, received a surprise acceptance letter to her dream school, Howard University.
As a first-generation student, Jada expressed the importance of pursuing higher education, inspired by her parents’ support and sacrifices.
“Growing up in Jamaica, my education was limited. But thanks to my dad and my stepmom, they gave me this great opportunity to migrate to America to further my education and make a name for myself so i’ll become successful in life,” she shared.
In an emotional moment, Howard University also awarded Jada a $15,000 merit-based scholarship.
