Grammy Award-winning producer and social activist 9th Wonder is set to produce the music for the upcoming animated series Good Times, based on the beloved classic sitcom. The news, shared in his recent Instagram post, comes as Netflix ramps up production for the adult-leaning adaptation, which promises to infuse contemporary social issues with the timeless charm of the original show.
Joining him on this musical journey are talented collaborators, including E. Jones, George Pettus, Soul, and Reuben Vincent. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on April 12th, marking a new chapter in the legacy of the Evans family.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the animated Good Times series, produced by Seth MacFarlane and the late Norman Lear, has assembled a star-studded voice cast, including J.B. Smoove, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Jay Pharoah.
