The Queen of Funk has brought her magic to Tiny Desk!
In honor of #BlackMusicMonth, NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert series welcomed Chaka Khan to perform some of her greatest hits. This celebration aims to spotlight the talent and contributions of Black women across various genres.
The 71-year-old Grammy award-winning artist @chakakhan dazzled the audience with classics like “Tell Me Something Good,” “What Cha’ Gonna Do For Me,” “Stay,” “Sweet Thing,” and “I’m Every Woman.”
Artists Tems, Lakecia Benjamin, and Tierra Whack have also graced the Tiny Desk stage. Upcoming performances include Kierra Sheard, Me’Shell Ndegeocello, Brittney Spencer, SWV, and Flo Milli as NPR continues to celebrate Black women in music throughout the month.
