We love seeing Black women support each other!💫
After her outstanding performance against the Indiana Fever on Sunday, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese shared a heartfelt embrace with WNBA legend and Hall of Famer Sheryl Swoopes, who was in attendance.
“She been there for me. She been there through my highs and lows,” Reese told ESPN after the Sky’s 88-87 victory. “She said she’s proud of me. … Just being able to talk to her and have someone like that in my life. I’m just happy I came over there.”
Sheryl Swoopes, a four-time WNBA champion and one of the league’s original players from its inception in 1996, also received a standing ovation during the game, honoring her immense contributions to women’s basketball.
