“That’s how I got a good forehand — was by skateboarding. My backhand used to be really, really amazing, and one day, I was at school, but I didn’t want to be there. I just took my skateboard out and went skateboarding in the neighborhood and fell and I hurt my wrist really bad. And I never told my dad. So [at practice], I couldn’t really hit backhands. I’m like, ‘No, I want to work on my forehand today. I want my forehand to get better.’ And for months, I just developed this amazing forehand because I literally, legit, couldn’t hit backhands,” Williams revealed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first two episodes of the series made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this summer. The series premiered July 10th on ESPN+ with new episodes set to drop weekly every Wednesday, 9 pm PT/12 am ET, until the season finale on August 28th. In the docu-series, Williams dishes on her life growing up as one of five Williams sisters, how her mother’s affirmations fueled her, her affinity for ‘90s alternative music, how she harnessed her competitive nature, and her love for DC comic heroes.
