Let us know if you’re hiring Pinky!
Entrepreneur Pinky Cole, owner of the uber-popular vegan food chain Slutty Vegan, is paying it forward. Cole launched the eatery in 2018, her second crack at becoming a restaurateur. Now, the plant-based burger business is thriving, valued at more than $100 million. Originally launching out of a shared kitchen space, Cole says the fanfare for her products was almost immediate.
“The next thing I know, there’s about 300 people standing outside, trying to pick up their orders,” she previously told reporters.
Slutty Vegan currently has 14 locations, recently becoming the first vegan restaurant to open at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the busiest airport in the U.S. Even before the company’s massive success, Cole made giving back a key part of her business brand, helping families in need, gifting businesses to students, and donating millions to HBCUs. Now Cole is giving back to the employees who have been with her from the start, recently gifting two of her longtime staff members with a Slutty Vegan restaurant of their own, the now 15th location for the franchise.
“Since 2018, before all the stores, the lights and the scaling, Angel and Miesha put blood, sweat and tears in my business. Angel was running the logistics and Miesha ran operations. I couldn’t have done any of this without them… So now I want to make their dreams come true,” wrote Cole in a post on social media.
The news came for the two employees on the 6th year anniversary of the business. Both Angel and Miesha will be the first-ever restaurant licensees of Slutty Vegan. Cole credited the two with helping her build the business, boasting that now she won’t be “the only entrepreneur at the table.” The newest location that they’ll be the owners of will be located in Jonesboro, Georgia.
“Thank you for sacrificing for me, my loyalty to you will never die,” said Cole.
Congratulations ladies!
