According to NBC News, the legendary James Earl Jones, whose career spanned more than seven decades on stage and screen, has passed away at the age of 93.
A beloved figure in the Black community, James Earl Jones was known for his iconic voice and memorable roles, including King Jaffe Joffer in “Coming to America,” Darth Vader in “Star Wars,” and Mufasa in “The Lion King.” Throughout his career, he earned numerous awards, including the National Medal of Arts, a Golden Globe, two Emmys, two Tonys, a Grammy, an honorary Oscar, and a special Tony for lifetime achievement.
His contributions to film and theater will never be forgotten. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his friends and family. May he rest in peace.
