Legendary R&B group Boyz II Men are bringing their 30-year music journey to the big screen with a biopic that celebrates their legacy.
The four-time Grammy-winning trio—Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris—are teaming up with Compelling Pictures and Primary Wave for the project, Variety reports. As executive producers, the group will have a hand in shaping the narrative of their storied career. The group first made their mark in 1991 with their chart-topping debut album “Cooleyhighharmony” and have since become the bestselling R&B group of all time, with over 60 million albums sold worldwide. Along with the biopic, Compelling Pictures is also working on a documentary that will explore their rise to fame in the ’90s and 2000s, and how they’ve stayed influential in music ever since.
“We’ve waited a long time to find partners who truly understand us, and we’re thrilled that Compelling Pictures are just as passionate about sharing our story. We’ll be sharing the highs, lows, and everything in between that shaped who we are today. Here’s to 33+ years of memories, and many more to come. Stay tuned, fam,🖤” @boyziimen shared to Instagram.
