Can you feel the love?!
The highly anticipated Disney film Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to 2019’s The Lion King, arrives in theaters this month. It stars Beyoncé as Nala and features her daughter Blue Ivy Carter’s voice-acting debut as Kiara, Simba, and Nala’s young cub. In a Good Morning America exclusive, the mother-daughter duo shared a touching behind-the-scenes glimpse from the recording studio.
In the video, the mother-daughter duo can be seen recording their roles together. Reflecting on the experience, 12-year-old Blue said, “If I’d told my younger self that I was in a movie, I would never have believed it.” Overcome with emotion, @Beyonce added, “Hearing Blue as Kiara…I can’t believe that’s my baby. It’s so amazing.” Blue’s younger sister, Rumi, also made a surprise appearance, making it a true family affair.
The family attended the film’s world premiere Monday night, with the mother-daughter duo shining in metallic gowns on the red carpet. “Mufasa: The Lion King,” which also stars Donald Glover as Simba, hits theaters Dec. 20. We can’t wait to witness Blue Ivy’s Disney debut!
