YouTuber and streamer Kai Cenat is making history!
Cenat recently announced that he’s partnering with Nike, making him the first streamer to have a partnership with the iconic company.
“I would like to announce that we are officially a part of the Nike family,” Cenat said during a Twitch livestream. “This has been a long time waiting.” He added, “There has been nothing more that I ever wanted. When I first got the call to be part of the Nike family, I literally couldn’t believe it.”
The big announcement came ahead of NBA All-Star weekend. Cenat played in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game for Team Shannon on Feb. 16. According to Black Enterprise, he recently teased that he has “something big” planned with Nike for one of his upcoming IRL (in real life) streams. This could be it!
Cenat, at the age of 21, became the most subscribed streamer on Twitch. The content creator from New York City started on YouTube at just 16 years old. He uploaded videos with funny pranks, vlogs, and challenges. In January 2021, he converted to the online streaming platform Twitch, a place that was mostly used for game streaming. With 5,000 YouTube followers, Cenat continued to grow his fanbase. By the end of his first month on Twitch, his following had grown to 70,000 subscribers. Within a year, his subscription number hit 500,000 making him Twitch’s second most-subscribed streamer. He ultimately became the most subscribed streamer.
We can’t wait to see what he does next!
