They are also in the Hallmark Store!

Ardean Miller is the founder of Mah Melanin, a gift-wrapping brand focused on bringing cultural inclusivity to the gift experience. What was once a humble startup has grown tremendously, receiving recognition from notable figures like Master P and Teddy Riley and being spotlighted by several organizations, including the NBA and QVC. Now, Mah Melanin is making history as the first Black-owned gift-wrapping brand sold in Lowe’s and the Hallmark Store, Black Enterprise reports.

“When I founded Mah Melanin, I wanted to create more than just beautiful gift wrap. I wanted to spark a movement – a place where our stories are told, our beauty is celebrated, and our community is uplifted. Partnering with these iconic retailers is a testament to the growing demand for products that resonate with our experiences and heritage,” said Miller.

Mah Melanin is already featured in Walmart and Sam’s Clubs nationwide and online. In addition to gift wrap, the brand also offers backpacks, blankets, apparel, and more! The wrapping paper is available in single rolls and packs of four, all for less than $40. The brand even has a unique Black Mrs. Claus and Black Elves sack that is perfect for special gifts this holiday season.
The new partnership with Lowe’s and Hallmark makes it even more accessible and reflects the growing desire for retail spaces to carry culturally inclusive products from Black-owned businesses. Miller hopes she can continue to open doors and offer mentorships for other Black entrepreneurs looking to follow in her footsteps.
