If you know us, you know that Black History Month is a BIG deal around these parts. And it looks like we have even more reason to celebrate. Robert Iger, Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company announced earlier today that ‘Black Panther’ would be returning to select AMC movie theaters starting February 1st and running through Feb 7th.
Today we are excited to announce #BlackPanther will return to the big screen to celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth from Feb 1-7 at participating AMC theaters. Tickets are free! We will also donate $1.5M to @UNCF to make the dream of higher education a reality for more students.

Not only will the tickets be free, Disney will also donate $1.5M to the United Negro College Fund to “make the dream of higher education a reality for more students.”
What makes this donation so important?
The United Negro College Fund is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization. This generous donation will help the 75-year-old organization’s mission which supports 60,000+ students & 37 HBCUs. According to the organization’s website, this grant is part of The Walt Disney Company’s longstanding commitment to diverse communities and expanding the pipeline of talent.
“We know that providing aspiring young minority talent with scholarships and professional development opportunities is vital to making their dreams a reality,” said UNCF President and CEO Dr. Michael Lomax. “UNCF is grateful for Walt Disney Company’s enduring commitment to expanding these types of opportunities, and we’re excited to continue to do so through our Walt Disney Company/UNCF Corporate Scholars Program. I recall the excitement we all had when ‘Black Panther’ was first released and it’s fantastic that Disney is bringing the record-breaking movie back to the big screen so that we can relive that excitement. Wakanda Forever!”
As the movie approaches its one year anniversary, Black Panther is the Black History Month gift that keeps on giving. Find out if you can see it again in a theater near you, HERE.
