He’s pushing coffee now!
Rapper Pusha T has just launched his new “Grindin Coffee” brand, Hypebeast reports. The former GOOD Music President hosted a Los Angeles pop-up, debuting the coffee at Café Tropical in Silverlake. The brand name is a nod to the legendary “Grindin’” track produced by Pharrell that launched Pusha T’s career more than 20 years ago as one half of the “Clipse” duo. Now, the former GOOD Music President is heading into the coffee business.
“All my dreams & ideas start from my passions. Luckily I have been able to find partnerships & platforms to help bring my visions to life. This is just a piece of me & how I start my day,” the Virginia native captioned a post on social media.
The coffee is described as a premium black coffee blend, with javaphiles able to get their first taste of the brand at Tyler, The Creator’s “Camp Flog Gnaw” festival this past weekend. In addition to the coffee, Pusha T also unveiled new merch, including t-shirts, hoodies, and totes boasting the Grindin Coffee logo.
Pusha T now joins a wave of Black entrepreneurs getting into the coffee business, including fellow rapper Jadakiss, who launched his family-owned Kiss Café brand in 2022.
Grindin Coffee is set for a nationwide launch in 2025.
