We’re going to get a look at America’s Presidents through a new lens.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Viola Davis is set to executive produce a new series for Showtime titled, First Ladies. She will also star in the series as Thee Michelle Obama.
The series is a one hour drama that focuses on the first ladies’ personal and political lives in the White House. Davis and her husband Julius Tennon, will be producing the anthology via their company, JuVee Productions, in partnership with Lionsgate TV.

The series is written by producer and author Aaron Cooley who compiled the stories based on information that was public domain.
No word yet on when the series will air. Showtime has already cleared the show for three scripts. Davis’ How To Get Away With Murder will premiere this fall on ABC and you can also catch her daughter starring in the new Angry Birds 2 Movie out now!
