It’s one last minute push to get everybody to the polls!
When We All Vote was created in 2018 by Michelle Obama with the goal of increasing participation in every election, closing the race and age gap, and changing the culture around voting. A leading, national, nonpartisan initiative, When We All Vote has led the charge on voter education and engaging the the next generation of voters, spearheading a number of culturally transformative events including an initiative with The Roots Picnic, a partnership with DJ D-Nice’s Club Quarantine and the “Culture of Democracy Summit,” which focused on engaging the whole of government among younger aged voters.
Now, When We All Vote is focused on a last minute push to get as many as possible to the polls. The next rally, set to be held in Atlanta, will focus on bringing together first-time voters, young people and local organizations. A star-studded event, Obama will be joined by notable figures including When We All Vote Co-Chairs Kerry Washington and Shonda Rhimes, as well as Ambassadors Kelly Rowland, Marsai Martin, Ciara, and D-Nice.
“To change the culture of voting, you have to be in the culture. We are so excited for many of When We All Vote’s incredible Co-Chairs and Ambassadors to join us in Atlanta to celebrate first-time voters. Our vote is our voice and our power, and at this rally, we’ll show how loud our voices are as we take this momentum to the ballot box together,” said When We All Vote Executive Director, Beth Lynk.
The rally will be livestreamed, with Grammy Award-winning artist Victoria Monét set to speak. There will also be performances from the Clark Atlanta University drumline and R&B songstress Ari Lennox. Obama has been lending her voice on the campaign trail, speaking candidly about the importance of the upcoming election, personally endorsing VP Kamala Harris.
Early voting in Georgia closes November 1st and the When We All Vote rally, hosted by influencers Kalen Allen and Lynee Vanee is set to take place in Atlanta on Oct. 29th. For more information visit WeAll.Vote/rally.
