They’re restoring the city!
Kristyn Patterson and her father Pancho Patterson are the new stars of an upcoming HGTV show that focuses on renovating the most challenging property projects in Detroit, Home & Texture reports. Kristyn is a well-known property investor who can spot the potential in any project while her father Pancho is a veteran builder with decades of construction expertise. Together, the two will star in the new series titled “Condemned,” which will focus on amplifying the Motor City’s rich architectural heritage and the duo’s effort to renovate and restore Detroit’s historic homes.
“Kristyn and Pancho have a tangible passion for Detroit and the necessary skills, grit and humor to renovate crumbling homes no one else will touch. Our cameras will follow the highs and lows as they grow their family business and prove that no home is too far gone,” said Loren Ruch, Head of Content, HGTV.
The Patterns come to television displaying their passion for Detroit and a commitment to restoring community. The show is five years in the making and viewers will watch the father and daughter as they navigate the ups and downs of renovation, highlighting financial challenges, unauthorized tenants in the properties, and the impact of Detroit winters on homes. The projects are both ambitious and spirited, each episode promising remarkable physical transformations and the overflowing positive impact to the city of Detroit.
“Condemed” is set to air this summer 2025 on HGTV!
