In 1994, Walt Disney Pictures released “The Lion King:” an animated musical film that went on to define a generation and become known as one of Disney’s greatest movies ever. Now, as Disney looks to reboot the classic childhood film, the legendary James Earl Jones is set to reprise his role of Mufasa and Donald Glover will join the cast as Simba. It has been reported that although the film will not be live-action like “The Jungle Book” remake, it will appear to be live-action. Director Jon Favreau, who also helmed “The Jungle Book,” took to Twitter yesterday to announce the exciting news.

On top of getting the opportunity to work alongside Jones, who did the voice over for Star Wars’ Darth Vadar, Glover will also be making his way into the Star Wars universe in his new role of Lando Calrissian in young Han Solo Star Wars spinoff. Some things are just meant to be!

Congratulations to you both! We can’t wait to see the development of both films.
