Identical twin brothers Alex and Jaramy Dozier have secured two of the top spots in their high school graduating class: valedictorian and salutatorian. Since entering the hallways of Calera High School (located in Calera, Alabama) four years ago, Alex and Jaramy have remained tied in class rank, until this year when Alex topped his brother’s 4.3 grade point average (GPA) with a 4.33.
The young scholars managed to play football and take rigorous class course loads that included AP Calculus, AP Government, and AP Literature. Alex and Jaramy shared that the values of success and determination instilled in them by their father and mother have helped them excel both in the classroom and on the football field. Their friendly competition with one another has also contributed to their academic success.
After Alex and Jaramy cross the stage and receive their high school diplomas this spring, they plan on attending Vanderbilt University, where Alex hopes to pursue a degree in physical therapy and Jaramy, electrical engineering. They both plan to continue their football careers in college.
Congratulations, Alex and Jaramy! Your academic excellence is an inspiration to us all.
