Hampton University’s freshmen are getting a stylish welcome, Delta Sigma Theta style!
School is back in session for most college students across the country, and the Gamma Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta at Hampton University, an HBCU in Hampton, Virginia, is ensuring their freshmen are fully equipped for success.
In a creative video shared on social media, the DST chapter @gammaidst welcomed Hampton’s incoming freshman class with a Clueless-inspired back-to-school campaign titled “How to NOT Be Clueless.”
In the video, modeled after the iconic film, the Deltas come to the rescue of a new freshman who arrives late to her first day of class. When asked to introduce herself and feeling shy, two upperclassmen Deltas step in to help. They give her the essential tips every Hamptonian and freshman needs: how to introduce herself, the best spots on campus like the café, therapy services, organizations to join, and even the correct business attire.
