Seven whole decades of Black love!
An X user named Kathryne Evonne J took to social media to highlight a momentous occasion: her grandparents’ 70th wedding anniversary. They were high school sweethearts. Kathryne said the two met at Piney Woods Country Life School in Mississippi. Her grandmother went on to graduate from Jackson State before serving as a lifelong educator, and her grandfather served as a Korean War Army Veteran. Now in their 90s, the couple recently celebrated seven decades of matrimony.
Dressed in matching pink colored shirts surrounded by balloons in front of a gold backdrop, the anniversary photos looked every bit of a prom for the elders. Kathryne told her followers that they celebrated by going to their favorite restaurant, Applebees. And, of course, her granddad took advantage of the special parking for veterans.

“Thank you all for celebrating and blessing my grandparents…They love to watch ESPN and Family Feud together these days,” she wrote.
Happy Anniversary family!
