She’s everybody’s mama!

Following the Lakers’ tough 118-104 loss against the Philadelphia 76ers, LeBron James took a moment that touched the hearts of basketball fans everywhere. As he exited the Wells Fargo Center, the four-time NBA champion stopped to share a heartwarming moment with Ann Iverson, the mother of NBA icon Allen Iverson, MSN reports.

The moment was touching and powerful, a reminder of the bond that transcends generations of players and their families. Ms. Iverson and James embraced before she asked about his mom and how she was doing.

“No, I ain’t talk to her. I talked to the agent, and she out of town,” said Ann Iverson while James confirmed his mom was, in fact, out of town.

A true mother, Ann Iverson then strolled down memory lane, remembering when they would see each other in the early stages of James’ career.

“I was just telling them how when you first started and when y’all played and stuff, I ain’t care about seeing nobody but you. I would stand by the locker room, and you’ll come out in your shorts and stuff and see me and say hey,” LeBron laughed, also recalling those moments fondly.

Always prepared, Mommy Iverson brought photos for James to sign. He graciously obliged, autographing them and mentioning that she had just missed his son Bronny. With a warm smile, she responded, saying she would have asked the young rookie for an autograph, too. He then asked about where her son was and how he was doing.

James and Allen Iverson’s careers nearly overlapped. Iverson entered the league in 1996 as the No. 1 overall pick, and James followed nearly a decade later, in 2003, with the same distinction. While James was still in high school when Iverson was in his prime, by the time LeBron was making waves in his rookie season, Iverson was still dominating the league. Their careers intersected until Iverson’s final NBA season in 2010, and James has since solidified his status as an all-time great.

Fans adored Ann Iverson during Allen’s playing days. She was often seen passionately supporting her son from the sidelines. Her energy and love for the game made her a beloved figure in the basketball community. And you could tell seeing a familiar face was a treat for James. After ensuring the ink was dry, the Lakers star carefully placed the photos in an envelope before sharing another heartfelt hug with Ann Iverson. Before parting ways, they posed for a picture.

“Let me have me another hug and I’ma let you deal with these folks. I love you with all my heart, and I’m so proud of you,” said Ann.

“I love my little Bronny,” she exclaimed as photographers captured the picture.
