This story is sure to warm your heart!
Eloise Brown, a 102-year-old Philadelphia native, has been cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles since the 1960s, but she’s been alive longer than the team itself. Born in 1922—11 years before the Eagles were founded—Brown has witnessed 17 division titles, a Super Bowl victory, and plenty of ups and downs, she told the Philly Inquirer.
“Plenty of times, they frustrate me,” she said with a laugh, clutching her trusty football-shaped stress ball. “But I’m gonna be happy Sunday.”
In the 60’s, Brown became a fan while watching games at home on TV. Her love for the team has only grown since, and her family—comprised of 27 grandkids, over 50 great-grandkids, and more than 20 great-great-grandkids—says she’s never missed a game.
To celebrate her 102nd birthday, Brown attended her fifth Eagles game, watching her favorite team take down the Cowboys. Decked out in a green Eagles jersey, matching earrings, and a hat, Brown was welcomed with open arms by the team. She received a custom jersey with her name and age on the back, courtesy of the team president, and had it signed by several players.
We’re sure Brown has her snacks ready for this Sunday’s game as the Eagles face off against the Washington Commanders for a spot in the Super Bowl!
