A mother’s work is never done, not even for world-famous pop stars and business moguls like Rihanna. The Fenty founder and her partner, A$AP Rocky, spent Mother’s Day weekend throwing a birthday party for their son, RZA, who turns two years old.
Rihanna and Rocky booked out New York’s Color Factory for a private party on Saturday, May 11. The Color Factory is an interactive art museum in Soho that offers colorful installations for kids and vibrant, instagramable backgrounds for grown-up guests who had just as much fun at the party as the birthday boy.
Photos from guests of the exclusive birthday bash reveal that RZA’s rockstar parents went all out for the festivities with cake, toys, games, and even photos of the toddler printed on balloons as party favors for guests. The Color Factory was decked out with balloon sculptures, a slide, and a ball pit.

Even the family photo was full of fun, with the “Umbrella” singer dangling the birthday boy upside down as he giggled with delight while his father and 9-month-old younger brother, Riot, attempted to pose for the camera and the guests sang “Happy Birthday.”
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have been dating since early 2020 and welcomed their first son, RZA, in May 2022. Rihanna stunned fans when she announced she was expecting their second child during her performance at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in February 2023, and she gave birth to Riot in August of that year.
Later that night, Rihanna and Rocky had a celebration of their own, stepping out for some well-deserved time to themselves. The couple were seen dancing and carrying on at a club in New York with Rihanna even getting on the microphone (unfortunately, not to preview any new music). A perfect way to bring in Mother’s Day for one of the coolest moms we know.
