There’s a new boy band in town!
The Black community has had a fair share of Black music groups — New Edition, Jodeci, Dru Hill, 112, Bell Biv Devoe, Blackstreet, Tony! Toni! Tone!, and Boyz II Men. From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Boyz II Men includes Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, former member Michael McCary, and Wanya Morris. They’ve traveled worldwide and won four Grammys. Now, Wanya Morris’ sons, who go by Big Boy, Chulo, Tyvas, and Rocco, are making up the latest boy band, WanMor. They’re currently signed to Mary J. Blige’s Beautiful Life Productions and 300 Entertainment.
Mary J. Blige spoke proudly about the signing of the group in a statement saying, “When we heard WanMor sing, we knew we could stop looking. They are IT! Supporting and cultivating true R&B talent is why I started Beautiful Life Productions, and I couldn’t be more proud to do this with these young men.”
For five years, these South Jersey brothers have been bringing a new feel to Black music groups and R&B. They’ve been featured on America’s Most Musical Family, Sesame Street, The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo, and Little Big Shots. They have also appeared on major stages like Madison Square Garden and the Crypto.com Arena. They recently released a new single titled, “Every Pretty Girl In The City,” which celebrates girls from all cities whose “pretty” shines from the inside out.
Back in August, the boys laid their 97-year-old great grandmother to rest and our hearts simply melted when they shared via Instagram the last moments they spent with her. The beautiful soul was surrounded by family, and WanMor belted soulful tunes that their great grandmother couldn’t help but tap her hands to. The performance left her smiling from ear to ear!

Keep going boys, you’re amazing!
