Beyoncé is all about giving people their flowers while they can smell them, so she sent Dawn Staley a bouquet!
As we’ve previously reported, Dawn Staley, head coach of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team, made history when she became the first Black coach to win three D1 basketball titles. To congratulate Staley on her win, Beyoncé sent one of her signature bouquets of white flowers.
In a heartwarming message, Beyoncé revealed she and her family were fans all season, writing, “To Coach Staley and the entire South Carolina Gamecocks, we watched your games and cheered you on through the entire season. I am so proud of you, all my love.”
Watch as Staley graciously shares her bouquet and the accompanying note on Instagram.
