Elmo is FED UP!
Simone Biles made sure she didn’t leave the Paris Olympics without stopping by to see Sesame Street correspondent Elmo. While visiting Elmo, Biles revealed that she’s always dreamed of taking a photo with one person, and Elmo was elated to hear it, an audible gasp coming from the beloved muppet.
“Okay, there’s one person that I’ve always wanted a photo with and so, you have to help me,” said Biles.
Of course, Elmo assumed she was talking about him because who wouldn’t want a photo with Elmo, right?
“Well, if you insist,” Elmo replied coyly.
It turns out Biles was not talking about Elmo! The Olympian was actually asking if Elmo could help her take a picture with the infamous Rocco, pulling out the pet rock, to Elmo’s chagrin.
“Rocco?” Elmo responded flatly.

Rocco is a rock that was introduced two decades ago as Zoe’s pet, one of Elmo’s friends on Sesame Street, NBC News reports. What initially started as amusement to Elmo quickly turned to annoyance once Zoe began telling Elmo what he could and couldn’t do as a result of Rocco’s presence. Elmo reaches a boiling point after Zoe insists that Rocco wants to eat an oatmeal cookie so Elmo can’t eat it.
“Rocco’s a rock, Zoe! Rocco won’t know the difference! How? How is Rocco going to eat that cookie, Zoe? Tell Elmo! Rocco doesn’t even have a mouth! Rocco’s just a rock! Rocco’s not alive!” Elmo shouts.

A rather humanistic moment for an otherwise always happy muppet, the unhinged rant has since gone viral on the internet and become a highlight for adult Sesame Street viewers. Biles’ request to take a picture with Rocco and not Elmo at the Paris Olympics has apparently revived the feud.
“Simone Biles wants a picture with Rocco. Anybody got a camera?” Elmo asks, unamused.
Stay calm, Elmo, we still love you, lol.
