She’s now a part of a very exclusive club!

Last week, WNBA star A’ja Wilson received a unanimous vote to be named the 2024 Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the league, Girls United reports. A huge accomplishment that only a handful of professional women’s basketball players can say they’ve reached, many sent congratulatory well wishes to the 28-year-old. Then Wilson’s team, the Las Vegas Aces, took to social media to post a heartwarming video from WNBA legends and fellow members of the 3x WNBA MVP club entitled “Dear A’ja.”

“I am so proud of you, A’ja Wilson, for joining our elite group of MVPs. Three MVPS! You have been outstanding all season long,” said Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie

“Congratulations on becoming a three-time MVP. What an incredible accomplishment. I am truly in awe of your greatness,” added Sheryl Swoopes, the first player ever to sign a WNBA contract.

The legends continued giving Wilson flowers, welcoming her to their exclusive club. Swoopes, the first person to become a three-time MVP for the league, took home the titles in 2000, 2002, and 2005. Then Leslie was previously named a WNBA MVP in 2001, 2004, and 2006. Former Seattle Storm legend and fellow 3x MVP Lauren Jackson also chimed in for the congratulatory video, calling it “pretty incredible to watch.”

Leslie continued to praise Wilson, reminding her of how big this moment is and encouraging her to go for a 4th if she chooses.

“You have been the Queen of the Court. Congratulations! And you know what? You have three MVPs, still young enough. You’ll probably be the first person to win four WNBA MVPS. I’m not trying to put pressure on you, but good luck!” added Leslie.
